Okay, who am I kidding? I STILL love Winnie-the-Pooh. That silly old bear with his irrepressible appetite is so cute, funny, and oddly relatable.
And, while Winnie-the-Pooh books and movies appeal to children, there is so much wisdom to be gleaned from A.A. Milne's simple, direct writing style. Pooh's conversations with Piglet and the gang are often beautiful observations about love and friendship. How inspired and sweet is this quote from the Pooh bear??
"If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. I’ll always be with you."
I created these colorful paper bag puppets for Disney's Family.com, and I love the idea of letting kids play with their puppets while coming up with their own dear Pooh-isms. Go to Disney's Family.com to check out the how-to and to download the templates.
